Protecting Children Can Lift Whole Economies: Gavi Reports Over $30 Billion in Vaccine Benefits in 2025

Gavi-supported vaccination programmes immunised more than 73 million children in 2025 and generated over US$30 billion in economic benefits, according to the alliance’s annual report. Those benefits came from preventing illness, death and long-term disability, reducing healthcare costs and supporting healthier, more productive lives.
Protecting children from disease can also strengthen families’ futures and national economies, giving countries another compelling reason to invest in vaccination.
