One rescue can reach far beyond one life: a rescued climber’s team has helped save about 400 Indian soldiers
Reported by The Better India
Publisher date:

Hemant Sachdev founded Tiranga Mountain Rescue after a friend saved him from a fall on Everest and he later questioned why soldiers could not receive similar specialist support. Since its founding in 2016, the organisation’s work has helped save approximately 400 soldiers, according to The Better India.
Turning personal gratitude into trained, organised help has given soldiers a better chance of survival and offers a foundation for wider mountain rescue services.
