Reported by The Better India
Publisher date:

After decades caring for her mother, who lives with schizophrenia, Neha Kirpal helped build mental-health services informed by the support her family had struggled to find. She reports that Amaha, which she co-founded, and its partner Children First now have over 300 clinicians and provide about 40,000 sessions a month in 18 languages.
Her experience shows how family caregivers can help shape services for others, even as affordable, accessible mental healthcare remains out of reach for many.
