More time to live: a drug combination extended median survival by over eight months in an advanced small cell lung cancer trial
Reported by ynetnews.com
Publisher date:

A Phase 3 trial involving 563 patients found that tarlatamab plus durvalumab extended median survival to 21.1 months, compared with 12.7 months for durvalumab alone. The findings suggest a way to give some patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer longer lives after initial treatment, although serious side effects were more common.
A measured survival gain offers evidence that treatment can give people more time with this aggressive cancer, without implying a cure or a benefit for every patient.
