A way out can be made by hand: Sardinia rescuers cleared rockslide debris to save a man trapped for 26 hours
Reported by The Guardian
Publisher date:

Rescuers pulled 31-year-old Luca Olmetto alive from a Sardinian cave after working non-stop to reach him roughly 10 metres underground. They manually cleared rubble from a narrow passage, then removed the debris covering him before bringing him to the surface.
The rescue shows how sustained effort and specialist skills can create a route to safety even when a cave entrance has been completely blocked.
