Seeking Ebola Care Shouldn’t Mean Going Hungry: WFP Has Served Over 744,000 Meals in DRC Treatment and Isolation Facilities
Reported by wfp.org
Publisher date:

The World Food Programme reports delivering more than 744,000 hot meals in 60 treatment and isolation facilities and over 3,000 metric tons of food to patients’ families in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. That assistance supports people through care and helps families follow health guidance without hunger forcing them to take additional risks.
Meeting families’ food needs can make care and isolation more practical, giving medical teams and communities support against an outbreak that is still spreading.
