Neighbours Can Help Bring a Family Back Together: Volunteers Adapted Dan’s Home So He Could Return After 18 Months

Dan Flemen, 16, can live with his family again after DIY SOS brought volunteers together to make their Freckleton home wheelchair-accessible. He had been unable to return for 18 months because the house could not accommodate his needs and his family could not afford the adaptations.

This community showed how donated skills and materials can remove a housing barrier that keeps a family apart.
