More time to build a life: Ukrainians and Sudanese with TPS keep US deportation protections and work rights—for now
Reported by Michigan Advance
Publisher date:

More than 100,000 Ukrainians and roughly 2,000 Sudanese with Temporary Protected Status will retain deportation protections and work authorization for now, the Department of Homeland Security said. The announcement preserves their ability to keep working, but does not establish how long those safeguards will last.
Continued protections give people from countries deemed too dangerous for return more time to live and work in the United States, although lasting security remains unresolved.
